mother's day magic

Mother's Day is a mere week and a half away.  Are you all set to make your mom / grandma / aunt / sister / friend / wife / cousin feel like the most loved and appreciated gal on this globe?

Well if not, don't fret, there are plenty of ways to arrange to do so in the time ahead (more on that to come), but today I've got one extra special idea for you that she won't see any old day.

Instead of a necklace or a massage or some flowers, give her the gift of female empowerment.
Make a donation to Reclaim Childhood in her honor, (full disclosure: an organization dear to my heart as co-founder and Director) and she'll receive a beautiful card with designs from RC's young athletes-in-training.

In you're unfamiliar with this little love of mine, Reclaim Childhood is a 501(c)(3) (which means your donation is tax deductible!) which seeks to empower Iraqi refugee girls and women through sport.  RC runs summer sports camps (with the help of an awesome roster of volunteers from around the world), soccer leagues, basketball leagues, and year-round Mother-Daughter Saturday sports clinics.

By making a donation to RC in honor of that special mother in your life, she'll receive a gorgeous card not only wishing her the happiest of Mother's Days but also telling her where your donation is going: directly towards RC's summer sports camps this June and July.
Where exactly will those dollars go?

$15: Buys three soccer balls.
$30: Buys shoes for 15 girls.
$50: Buys uniforms for one soccer team.
$100: Allows one Iraqi refugee girl to play soccer in the RC soccer league.

Interested in taking part?

Just fill out the online form here,
which includes instructions for how to make your donation.
(Or email me here and I'll help you through the process!)

xoxo
